En miroir 1 September - 21 October 2023 The exhibition En miroir presents new works by Berlin based artist Lars Teichmann. His works are always accompanied by a momentum of supposed familiarity as well as sparks of distortion and alienation, that are emphasized by the gestural application of colour. En miroir is as much an homage to the history of painting as it is to Lars Teichmann's own oeuvre. His unique approach to staging motifs and subjects from art history, while giving room to the dispute between the figurative and the abstract, captures the mystical power of painting: the oscillation between colour and figure. |
