At the same time, it means for me to keep looking for new paths in life as well." - Dieter Hiesserer In the most recent cycle of works "Studies for having a Choice" from 2021 and 2022, Hiesserer composes and collages coloured segments on chalk ground and canvas. Radiantly, the paintings shine in bright hues. The paintings move in a field of tension between two-dimensionality and depth, forms and colourfulness. Furthermore, the exhibition shows sculptures made of bronze, terracotta and wax. The play of depressions and elevations, emphasised by spraying on paint, explores and marks their spatiality and plasticity. |
