PLANT ME A GARDEN 12 March - 27 May 2022 The title Plant me a Garden is understood as a metaphor and refers to a concrete series of works that deal with nature and science from different perspectives. Numerous drawings, paintings, collages as well as books have been created for the exhibition. In her works, Anke Lohrer has been dealing with natural science and especially with the plant world in recent years. Here she explores the modes of action as well as the structure of plants and pursues the wonders of botany. Her most recent large-format paintings show nature in abstraction. They were created in her own garden, often even en plein air in nature. A wall wallpaper (unlimited edition) has been created based on designs by the artist. The proceeds from the sale will be donated to Doctors Without Borders for the Ukrainian population. |
